1.Making wheat lacquer

What is wheat lacquer? Wheat lacquer is a patching material made from wheat flour mixed with raw lacquer (a kind of natural lacquer) and stirred well.

Whisk the wheat flour with water until it is as soft as dough. Mix the raw lacquer into the wheat flour and keep stirring until you can pull the silk out with a chopstick or wooden stick. We call this form wheat lacquer.

2.Repairing your Beloved China

① Prepare the broken pieces and apply wheat paint to the edges of the broken pieces.
② Then point the broken piece at the other piece and do this until you have all the pieces glued together.

③ Remove the overflowing part of the wheat paint with a wooden plate shovel.
④ Let stand until the wheat paint is completely dry. Because the wheat lacquer is dry thoroughly need time longer, during this period can be wrapped with plastic wrap a circle, in case of accidentally knock against after fracture again.
⑤ After completely dry, take off the plastic wrap, and then fill the joint with “concentrate” (concentrate is made of raw lacquer and strop stone powder) and dry it.
